The console versions play like thrash yes, but the PC version is in my opinion, not that bad at all. I say this because if you go into the setup (where you select your sound card etc), you can see that the game is at version 0.50. In other words: They never made it to the finish line properly. This may explain why some characters are a lot more polished than others (Rook/Sentry and Chromax from the demo) and why some of the characters can't jump (Mayhem and Surpressor.) Considering this, I would say that Mirage put in a lot of effort trying to redeem the Rise series. The PC is the way to go as both console versions are, well, a terrible mess. Rise 2 had quite a bit of potential, but as I said, it never reached version 1.0. Unfortunately.

There's something about this style of graphics that makes it so atmospheric. These 3D pre-rendered sprites on a 3D pre-rendered backgrounds look so "retro-futuristic". For some reason, I find early CGI to have much more dystopian feel to it than modern graphics when it comes to presenting dark futuristic or VR stuff. It _feels_ artificial, cold and unwelcoming - exactly how a tech-dystopia should feel like, IMO. Also, the locations/arenas in this game are just oozing with industrial atmosphere.

Shang tsung is real big on throwing in the computer Shang I would not let the second man throw me because I could throw them all at one time with the exception of the computer shang tsung. I threw him maybe 12 times in 2 years but he threw me hundreds of times. I would have never left the second guy ever throw me and usually none of them could except Shang.

There's something that I've been wondering about. Some Dreamcast games require manual saving but others have an autosave feature. Does Mortal Kombat Gold happen to lack autosave? Every unlocked FMV is locked again when I play the game again.

This game had a lot of potential. What would have helped was a move list you could see in a menu or in the manual along with some sort of cohesive story rather than vague stuff and yeah, go from there.

I don't know why people pick Mileena or kitana the females love to throw their very good at it and most people for some reason don't like to throw although it is utilized in all my games. In mortal Kombat 2 I was I could throw at will everyone with the exception of Shang tsung he definitely threw me more times than I threw him. It is my pet peeve that most people do not throw and I got good enough and mortal Kombat 2 and 3 that I could throw nearly all of them except Shang tsung it takes quite a bit of energy away in just a little practice you can really throw all of of them with the possible exception of Shang tsung

Human players don't use the throwing for some reason. These females throw so much that when you don't use the throw and play with one of them it looks silly.
